Bespoke Sporting Clays Experience

Tailor-Made Training & Instruction

No two shooters are the same—and no two training sessions should be either.

The Bespoke Sporting Clays Experience is personalized instruction built around you: your shooting style, your goals, the targets you want to master, and the areas where you want to improve.

Rather than following a standard lesson plan, we’ll select from a menu of specialized drills and training experiences to create a session specifically for you.

Whether you want to refine your technique, build consistency, strengthen your mental game, prepare for competition, or simply become a more confident sporting clays shooter, your experience can be tailored accordingly.

Build Your Experience

Choose the areas you’d like to work on, or let your instructor build a training plan based on an evaluation of your shooting.

Shot Tracker

See exactly what is happening when you pull the trigger.

Shot-tracking technology allows us to review your shots on an iPad, analyze what happened, and discuss adjustments in real time.

Shot tracking can be mounted to your own shotgun at no additional charge, with setup time required.

Optional: Use our balanced Beretta 694 equipped for shot tracking for an additional $50. A simple comb adjustment allows the shotgun to be fitted to the shooter’s eye.

Cure Your Flinch

Identify and work through an involuntary flinch using controlled exercises.

Snap caps are introduced without the shooter knowing when they will encounter one, allowing the instructor and shooter to identify movement, anticipation, and flinching that may otherwise be difficult to detect.

Mental Game Drill

Build focus, discipline, and confidence under pressure.

Using a controlled report-pair target presentation, you’ll work through progressively longer shooting sequences with timed breaks between rounds.

The challenge: complete the entire progression—and work your way back down—without a miss.

Miss a target? The sequence starts again

Consistency Drill

Turn successful shots into repeatable ones.

Choose a single target or pair and shoot it using your preferred lead method. The goal is to successfully repeat the shot five times without a miss.

Miss during the sequence and the count resets.

This drill helps reinforce repeatable movement, visual discipline, and confidence in your chosen technique.

Out-of-Position Drill

Learn to recover when everything isn’t perfect.

You’ll begin with a plan for the target and your preferred method of lead—but with the gun intentionally positioned somewhere you wouldn’t normally start.

The objective is to regain control, establish the correct movement, and successfully engage the target.

This drill develops adaptability and gun control for unexpected presentations.

Ladder Drill

Learn how distance changes what you see—and how you shoot.

Begin approximately five yards from the trap and progressively move farther away in five- or ten-yard increments.

You’ll experience how increasing distance affects target perception, timing, lead, and break point.

Diagonals Drill

Change your perspective on the same target presentations.

Starting from one side of a skeet field, shoot a pair before moving diagonally to the opposite side and corner of the field.

You’ll experience how dramatically your position can change the appearance, angle, and strategy of a target.

Method of Lead Training

Explore different ways to connect with a target and discover what works for you.

Practice techniques including:

  • Swing Through
  • Pull Away
  • Sustained Lead
  • Sustained Pull Away
  • Collapsing Lead
  • Intercept

We’ll shoot the same target using different methods, compare the results, and discuss which approach feels most natural and produces the most consistent results.

Flight Time Drill

One target. Multiple opportunities.

Engage the same target at different points throughout its flight:

  • Quickly out of the trap
  • Before the apex
  • After the apex
  • Late in the target’s flight

You’ll learn how timing and break point change the shot—and how much opportunity may actually exist within a single presentation.

Transitioning Angles

Learn to recognize targets whose presentation changes throughout their flight.

We’ll work with transitions such as:

  • Quartering to crossing
  • Crossing to quartering
  • Straightaway to quartering

The focus is learning to read the target early, anticipate the transition, and choose an effective approach.

Windy Day Training

Don’t let the weather dictate your shooting.

Train on target presentations specifically designed to demonstrate the effects of wind, including:

  • Stalling targets
  • Targets pushed downward
  • Headwind presentations
  • Tailwind presentations

Learn how changing conditions affect target behavior and how to adjust your plan accordingly.

Trap Arm Differences

Small equipment differences can create noticeably different target presentations.

Shoot comparable setups from left- and right-hand traps and learn to recognize the differences in target flight.

The goal is to become better at reading what the target is actually doing rather than relying solely on what you expect it to do.

True Pair Strategy

Two targets. One plan.

We’ll create challenging true-pair scenarios designed to improve target reading, decision-making, and shot order.

Presentations may include two crossing targets, trap-style combinations, or pairs that force you to take one target earlier—or later—than you normally would.

You’ll learn to evaluate the pair and develop a strategy before calling for the targets.

Understanding Rabbits & Battues

Learn how specialty targets behave and how to approach them.

We’ll explore the unique characteristics of rabbit and battue targets, including their speed, flight characteristics, changing presentations, and breakability.

You’ll also see how trap angle, target orientation, and setup can dramatically alter what these targets do in flight.

5-Stand Training

Practice the variety and decision-making of 5-Stand in a controlled training environment.

We’ll create a custom 5-Stand setup using multiple traps and shooting positions, allowing you to work through a complete round while focusing on target recognition, planning, and execution.

Super Sporting Training

Prepare for the variety and complexity of Super Sporting.

Using multiple traps and shooting positions, you’ll work through:

  • Singles
  • Report Pairs
  • True Pairs
  • Following Pairs

The session can be adjusted to emphasize specific presentations or competition-style decision-making.

FITASC Training

Develop the target-reading, planning, and shooting skills used in FITASC.

Using available traps and multiple shooting positions, we’ll create an Old System-style FITASC training layout that allows you to practice a variety of presentations and strategies.

Sessions can be configured with up to eight traps depending on the training plan.

Simulated Bird Hunting

Put your reactions and field skills to the test.

Using multiple traps positioned throughout the field, you’ll move through the course as targets are released at unexpected times and from different directions.

The exercise is designed to simulate the unpredictability of bird hunting while emphasizing safe gun handling, target acquisition, movement, and decision-making.

Your Session. Your Goals.

You don’t need to know which drills you need before you arrive.

Tell us what you want to improve—or simply come ready to shoot. We’ll evaluate your shooting, discuss your goals, and build a personalized experience using the drills and target presentations that make the most sense for you.

No cookie-cutter lesson plans. No one-size-fits-all instruction.

Just focused, personalized training designed around the shooter standing in the station.
